Job summary

BASIS.ed in Scottsdale is seeking a qualified Exceptional Student Services Instructional Assistant to join our bright, passionate team. The ESS Instructional Assistant supports Special Education, 504, and EL programs at the school site and provides paraprofessional support for individual students, while maintaining communications with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or state background check.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan implementation with special educational needs in general education settings such as classrooms, halls, lunchrooms, playgrounds, etc.
• Provide paraprofessional or one-on-one support to individual students as needed.
• Help the ESS Coordinator with IEPs and 504 plans implementations.
• Work collaboratively with ESS Coordinator and teaching staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of student records and progress information.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks for the ESS department.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students or groups of students.
