Job summary

BASIS Chandler Primary South is seeking a qualified Exceptional Student Services Instructional Assistant to join our bright, passionate team at BASIS ED. The role supports Special Education, 504, and EL programs at the site and helps maintain communication with parents, peers, and supervisors.

The successful candidate will provide paraprofessional support, assist with IEPs and 504 plans, collaborate with the ESS Coordinator, and help implement individualized education programs while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or satisfactory state background check
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Responsibilities

• Plan implementation with special educational needs in general education settings
• Provide paraprofessional or one-on-one support to individual students
• Assist in implementing IEPs and 504 plans
• Collaborate with ESS Coordinator and teaching staff
• Provide support to teaching staff
• Maintain confidentiality of student records
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed
• Supervise students and reinforce concepts
• Provide instructional interventions to individuals or small groups
• Other duties as assigned
