Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly analytical Program Analyst to support complex program planning, forecasting, and performance tracking in our PMO. This role requires onsite presence several days per week in Frederick, MD and US citizenship is required.

You will build integrated plans, refine forecasting models, and deliver executive reports using advanced Excel, Power Query/Power Pivot, and Power BI. Strong communication with senior stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program analysis, PMO support, or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced Excel expertise including complex formulas, Pivot tables, and Power Query/Power Pivot.
• Experience with large, cross-functional programs and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasts for program scope, schedule, cost, and resources.
• Partner with program managers to build integrated multi-workstream plans.
• Refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and responsiveness.
• Design Excel-based models, dashboards, and reporting tools (Pivot, Power Query/Power Pivot).
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Produce executive-level reports and visualizations for decision-making.
• Track KPIs, milestones, and deliverables against plan.
• Conduct variance analyses (forecast vs actuals) and provide insights.
• Support governance forums with status reports and risk summaries.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and cost tracking for complex programs.
• Model resource demand and capacity planning across projects.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate across program managers, finance, operations, and leadership.
• Translate findings into clear business insights and support strategic planning.
