Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. in Apache Junction, AZ is seeking an Excavator Operator for the Water Mountain West/Apache Junction Sewer District Project. The operator will run an excavator on site to support dirt work, load and unload materials, and assist with related tasks.

Responsibilities include daily safety and maintenance checks, minor service, and completing required paperwork. Candidates should have 3-5 years of operating experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operates an Excavator to complete tasks such as digging, excavating, and moving and/or transporting materials such as dirt, rocks and other aggregates.
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
• May oil, grease, service, and make maintenance adjustments on equipment; perform daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and other documentation as needed.
• May perform other related duties as required.
