Job summary

The Walsh Group in Peoria, AZ seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy equipment at project sites across the Water Mountain West Region. You will support road, civil, or building construction, and assist with other tasks as needed on the jobsite.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of operating experience and can comply with safety policies, pass a drug screen, and lift up to 50 lbs. This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operating experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires ability to comply with safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of Equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and moving/material transport of dirt, rocks, and aggregates
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials
• Oil, grease, service and perform normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; conduct daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork as required
• May experience vibration and loud noise while operating equipment
• Perform other related duties as required
