Job summary

River City Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced Excavation / Utility Crew Member in Portland, OR. This hands-on role requires working with excavation and utility tasks, safety-focused, CDL preferred but not required. Competitive pay based on experience, with benefits.

You will assist with sewer and storm pipe installation, operate heavy equipment, and collaborate with a crew to complete projects on time while following site plans and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Real ID compliant within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in heavy equipment operation.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Septic installer license preferred.
• Underground utility excavation experience a plus.
• Able to lift 75+ lbs.
• Comfortable in confined spaces.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation and site work
• Lay pipe for sewer, storm, and utility systems
• Work with laser levels and grades
• Perform structural fill and backfill operations
• Install and assist with sewer and storm pipe, basins, and manholes
• Assist with insulation of sewer and storm pipe as needed
• Follow safety procedures and job site plans
• Work as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently
