Job summary

The Haven Services is seeking a highly skilled Excavator Operator to join our Commercial Division for the installation and repair of sewer, water, and storm lines. This year‑round role requires expertise in operating heavy equipment and managing site utility installations.

Responsibilities include operating backhoes, track hoes, skid loaders, and dump trucks with safety and maintenance in mind; assisting in water, gas, and sewer line installations per city/state specs.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with tanker and air brakes endorsements.
• Must pass random drug and alcohol tests per DOT standards.
• Thorough knowledge of safety related to excavation and equipment used in excavation applications.
• Safe driving techniques.
• Safe traffic control in work areas.
• Trench safety and safe excavation around utilities.
• Safe use of hoses and equipment around utilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate company provided backhoes, track hoes, skid loaders, and dump trucks with an emphasis on site safety, personal safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Install and assist in the installation of water lines, gas lines, and sewer lines as per city/state specifications.
