Roto-Rooter in New Jersey is seeking an Excavation Technician to perform residential and commercial excavations for sewer and water services repairs and installations. You will operate backhoes and related equipment, adhere to OSHA safety protocols, and interact with customers to complete projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has hands-on excavation experience, a valid driver's license (CDL a plus or obtainable within 90 days), and willingness to work nights/weekends in a fast-paced service

Qualifications

• Experience with excavation projects in residential and commercial construction settings.
• Valid driver''s license; CDL may be required depending on vehicle.
• Navigate excavation environments including confined spaces and trenches.
• Complete jobs within specified timelines.
• Current CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with trenchless water, sewer & gas is a plus.
• Willing to work nights and weekends to meet demands of the position.

Responsabilités

• Prioritize safety by strictly adhering to OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety protocols.
• Interact with customers as needed.
• Perform excavation tasks followed by pipe repairs or new pipe installations as an Excavation Technician.
• Operates back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and/or other excavation machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials.
• Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
• Locates and arrives at job sites in a timely manner; safely drives and operates service vehicle between job sites.
