Job summary

3 Mountains Home Services is seeking an Excavation Install Apprentice to learn the ins and outs of underground utility work and safely operate equipment. You'll assist with trenching, digging, piping installations, and daily job preparation while building real hands-on skills for a long-term trade career.

This field-based role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid license, and willingness to travel to residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Requires a basic safety mindset and ability to follow directions.
• Experience in construction or excavation is a plus but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling for utility installations.
• Support installation of underground piping, conduits, and drainage systems under supervision.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily job assignments.
• Learn proper use of excavation equipment, hand tools, and safety gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, compacting, and hauling materials.
• Communicate effectively with crew leads and supervisors about work activities
