Job summary

Advanced Home Services is seeking an Excavation Install Apprentice to join the install team in Rigby, ID. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn trenching, piping, and underground utility installation while practicing safe, efficient methods.

Responsibilities include preparing tools, assisting with digging tasks, and maintaining site safety. Travel up to 25% and a path toward a skilled HVAC installation role are part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in construction, excavation, or related trades is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required (CDL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling for utility installations.
• Support installation of underground piping, conduits, and drainage systems under supervision.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily job assignments.
• Learn proper use of excavation equipment, hand tools, and safety gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, compacting, and hauling materials.
• Communicate effectively with crew leads and supervisors about work activities.
