Job summary

Advanced Home Services in Idaho is seeking a hands-on Excavation Install Apprentice to join the install team. You’ll learn underground utility work and safe operation of excavation equipment, with daily tasks from trenching to backfilling under supervision.

You’ll develop real, hands-on skills for a trade with strong job security, with weekly pay, benefits, and company matching retirement plan as part of our supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in construction, excavation, or related trades preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn excavation techniques.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (CDL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling for utility installations.
• Support installation of underground piping, conduits, and drainage systems under supervision.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily job assignments.
• Learn proper use of excavation equipment, hand tools, and safety gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, compacting, and hauling materials.
• Communicate effectively with crew leads and supervisors about work activities.
