Job summary

Abode Construction, Inc. is seeking an Excavation Foreman to supervise a crew on pipe, underground utilities, concrete, and related activities. The role supports the Excavation Director and may require operating heavy equipment.

A minimum of 2 years in a similar role is preferred, and a valid Class A CDL is required or must be obtained. The position emphasizes safety, planning, and timely project completion, with duties including site layout, permits, and coordinating with the excavations team

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industry experience as a foreman or heavy equipment operator.
• Valid Class A CDL required; candidates without one must obtain it.
• Experience operating excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, forklifts, and tractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a crew of up to 4 employees and prioritizes work.
• Reads plans and ensures materials and timelines align with project goals.
• Conducts tailgate safety meetings and enforces safety policies.
• Maintains equipment service logs and ensures site permits and swpp are in place.
• Leads and trains crew to complete projects within established guidelines.
