Job summary

CH Excavating Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a lead man/Foreman with proven experience in site and utility work to supervise a crew, operate heavy equipment, and ensure safety on the job.

The role requires reading plans and cut sheets, performing layouts, and managing daily site activities, with knowledge of lasers, transits, and pipe lasers. CDL is a plus; salary is TBD based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of foreman/lead experience in site and utility work.
• Ability to read plans, cut sheets, and perform layouts.
• Experience running a crew and managing daily site activities.
• Knowledge of production schedules and safety hazards.
• CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew in installation of underground utilities, water mains and sewer mains and storm drains.
• Read plans and cut sheets and perform layouts.
• Operate heavy equipment safely on site.
• Manage daily activities and ensure production schedules are followed.
• Identify and report hazards.
