Job summary

Suffolk New College is seeking an Exams Access Arrangements Assessor for the Ipswich campus on a permanent basis. The role involves ensuring appropriate exam arrangements for learners with additional learning needs and contributing to the ongoing assessment process.

You will work within the Additional Learning Support Assessment team, applying JCQ guidelines and supporting early identification of needs. The position may also cover across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications as listed: CPT3A CCET + AAC or SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate Level 7.
• Experience or eligibility to assess Access Arrangements in line with JCQ guidance is required.

Responsibilities

• Join a dedicated team ensuring exam arrangements for learners with identified needs to enable maximum potential.
• Share expertise on JCQ regulations with curriculum teams and support early identification through internal referral processes.

Starting salary is £33,459 per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are looking for qualified Exams Access Arrangements Assessors to join our Additional Learning Support Assessment team. If you hold a current specialist qualification in Assessing for Access Arrangements, we would love to hear from you!

Your Responsibilities

You will be joining a dedicated team who work together to ensure that exam arrangements are in place for all learners with identified additional learning needs to enable them maximum opportunity to meet their full potential.

You will be sharing your knowledge of the JCQ regulations and guidance with the curriculum team to support with the early identification of needs through the completion of our internal referral process and providing feedback following assessment.
