Job summary

Victoria College in Victoria, Texas, is seeking a Testing Specialist I to assist in coordinating and administering testing and assessment programs. This full-time role ensures proper policies are followed and tests are securely administered for instructors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written skills; able to work some Saturdays and evenings.
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel highly desirable.
• Some travel is also required.

Responsibilities

• Administers exams for Victoria College instructors as scheduled; responsible for scheduling, receiving, storing, administering, and securing exams for instructors.
• Monitor adapted tests for students with disabilities; work directly with Academic/Disability Advisor on compliance and scheduling of examinations; responsible for scheduling, receiving, storing, administering, and securing exams for instructors.
• Assists with administering and scheduling all specialized tests such as TSI, PSI, TCFP, DSST, TCOLE, CLEP and Scantron; responsible for ensuring that Victoria College complies with all testing standards set by each testing entity; keep faculty abreast of test changes affecting the credit by examination program.
• Assists with administering the Pearson VUE exams; serves as a Test Proctor; assists in ensuring that Victoria College complies with Pearson VUE testing standards set by the American Council on Education including specialized testing for students with disabilities for both on and off campus testing.
• Assists with administering Correspondence exams; assists with receiving, storing, administering and mailing exams; responsible for complying with corresponding university/college testing standards so as to ensure validity of test.
• Assists with administering departmental credit by examinations; assist with receiving, storing, administering, and returning exams.
• Assists with administering Virtual Colleges of Texas exams; assist with scheduling, receiving, storing, administering, and returning exams to appropriate colleges and/or universities.
• Develops annual goals, objectives, and assessment methods for all areas of responsibility; assists in preparation of annual budget based upon goals and objectives.
• Attends conferences to keep abreast of current testing standards and requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Testing and the Vice President of Student Services.
• This position will access student records at times and will follow all FERPA guidelines.
