Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School is seeking an Exam Proctor for a part-time, seasonal position. The role requires monitoring exams to uphold integrity, ensuring proper software on designated computers and that test instructions are conveyed clearly.
The proctor will manage timing, scheduling, and adherence to NBME standards, handle minor tech issues, and maintain a calm, professional presence with anxious students. Hybrid work location with a fixed, limited weekly schedule.
An exam proctor oversees students who take required exams to help ensure academic integrity. They monitor that students do not breach exam protocol for the following: ensure that students take exams on appropriate computer with proper software, able to convey test instructions clearly, ensure that students only have water with them during exams, follow proper procedure when taking bathroom breaks and accurately exit the exam, when completed.
