Job summary

U.S. LUMBER, an SBP brand, is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the Duncan, SC facility. The role involves safely operating forklifts or other machinery, loading/unloading, moving and storing product, and helping with inventory and order accuracy.

The team emphasizes values-based work, customer service, attention to detail, and timely completion. Required: high school diploma, at least one year in a warehouse, forklift experience preferred, basic math skills, and reading product tickets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) to complete tasks including loading/unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
• Maintain condition of warehouse work area: free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively with Supervisors and other employees to complete workload.
• Provide outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing work timely.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Read tickets and codes for products; learn to use chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw; read a tape measure; accurately pull daily orders.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material. Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products.
• Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Accurately pull daily orders.

Required credentials:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00/Hr. based on experience.
