Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior EW Systems Engineer to support the Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. You will analyze operational needs, develop system requirements, and coordinate interfaces across hardware, software, and networks.

The role requires 5–7 years in systems engineering, the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance, and experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle and MBSE tools. You will participate in technical reviews and manage lifecycle activities to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Systems/Electrical/Mechanical/Computer).
• 5–7 years in systems engineering, system integration, or related fields.
• Experience deriving requirements and maintaining requirements traceability.
• Experience with system architectures, interfaces, verification, validation, or qualification.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Experience preparing specifications, ICDs, and engineering reports.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance ( Interim Secret required to start).

Responsibilities

• Analyze needs and develop, allocate, validate, and maintain system requirements and traceability.
• Support system architectures, baselines, design alternatives, and trade studies.
• Develop and review ICDs and coordinate interfaces across hardware, software, network, data, and subsystems.
• Support integration, resolve interface and compatibility issues in lab and field.
• Define verification methods and support tests, matrices, and reports.
• Participate in SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and production-readiness reviews.
• Identify and track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Evaluate ECPs, deviations, waivers, and design changes for impacts to requirements and sustainment.
• Prepare specifications, technical assessments, and decision papers.
