Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA is seeking a Hardware Manufacturing Test Engineer for the EW Manufacturing Team. You will own production test flow, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and ensure high-throughput, quality testing across the manufacturing value stream.

You will collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering, develop test instructions, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement of test automation and methods to ship reliable defense hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test.
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in PCBA/electronic tests and test equipment.
• Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PLM, MES, and TES systems.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system to component level.
• Improve and sustain test systems to enhance automation and coverage.
• Generate work instructions for technicians in MES and train staff as required.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Support returns and failure analysis with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for NPI.
• Analyze test data and provide reports to identify defects and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with design engineers on product enhancements based on test results.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes.
• Execute testing as required.
