Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an Electrified Powertrain EVSE D&R Engineer to own the design, release, packaging, and certification of EVSE for BEV and PHEV programs. You will collaborate with Studio, suppliers, and multi-functional teams to drive product development and ensure alignment with vehicle targets.

You will lead design reviews, coordinate with Applications, and manage CDS/DCRs while supporting PPAP and homologation efforts. This role is hybrid and onsite as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years design and release experience through all program phases.
• Experience with CAD/CAE methods; CATIA preferred.
• Experience with quality documentation (DVP&R, DFMEAs, PFMEAs).
• Experience with problem solving tools (6-Sigma, 8D, 3L5W, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead EVSE design, release, and testing for next generation electrified vehicles.
• Lead packaging design efforts together with Studio and supplier partners.
• Coordinate features and deliverables with the Applications team.
• Release core components in FEDE BOM and WERS; manage drawings from P-release through launch.
• Manage Component Design Specifications (CDS) and Design Change Requests (DCR).
• Participate in Design Reviews and Worst-Case Circuit Analysis.
• Collaborate with EDS and Onboard Power Conversion teams for interfaces.
• Meet timing and product delivery with vehicle program teams and Applications teams.
• Support Ford Customer Service Division and Energy Services on catalog and service part releases.
• Handle Quality foundation documents including DFMEA, PFMEA, SCCAF, DVP&R and related reviews.
• Support PPAP processes through visits and document reviews (MSA, Control Charts).
• Assist in vehicle program launches, testing, and regulatory homologation testing.
