Job summary

Xanitos is hiring a 1st Shift EVS Training Manager at University Health in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive training program for EVS staff, including hospital orientation, department onboarding, and hands-on onboarding for new hires.

You will lead cross-training initiatives, document processes, and report training metrics to ensure high standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for healthcare employees.
• High School diploma is required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execute, and document all new-hire initial training including hospital and department orientation and hands-on training.
• Coordinate small clinic/group trainings on MSDS, Infection Control, safety and related programs for new hires and veteran staff.
• Plan and document cross-training and remedial training in one-on-one and small group formats.
• Develop Focus of the Week programs and management development activities.
• Collaborate with the management team to supervise and develop department staff and hospitality training.
• Prepare detailed site-specific training outlines and binders and monthly training activity reports.
• Liaise with Regional Training Manager, Corporate HR, and on-site resources to stay current with leading practices.
• Provide notice and coordinate relief staff for training events as needed.
• Create memory aids, master training schedules, and ensure QA and infection control inspections run smoothly.
• Ensure adequate forms and materials are available for training.
