Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II in Winfield, IL. Hours are 4PM–12:30AM with every other weekend required. The role cleans patient rooms, offices, and treatment areas, maintaining hygiene and safety across the hospital environment.

Responsibilities include following isolation precautions, stocking supplies, keeping carts and equipment in good condition, and supporting continuous improvements while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must follow oral and written instructions.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must use the proper tracking and communication tools utilized by department.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms and other areas daily.
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition.
• Contributes to safety and cost-containment efforts.
