Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks an EVS Tech I to promote a clean and disinfected hospital environment. You will perform routine cleaning, help maintain patient throughput, and adapt workflows to discharge flow needs. Strong communication helps in coordinating with staff and patients.

Mandatory HS diploma or GED, 6 months in janitorial or environmental services, and CNACC/CHEST certifications are preferred to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
