Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an EVS Tech I to support a clean, disinfected hospital environment and promote patient well-being. You will perform routine cleaning and ensure timely room turnover to assist patient throughput.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with at least 6 months of janitorial/housekeeping experience. CNACC or CHEST certification is preferred, and the position pays $17.00–$18.89 per hour.

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
