Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment at Dallas Regional Medical Center– Mesquite, TX. The EVS Tech will disinfect patient rooms and operating areas, dispose of waste, restock supplies, and respond quickly to urgent cleaning needs.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of acute care EVS experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with strong reading and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• One year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection.
• Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms and surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills and communicate promptly using appropriate devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, potentially traveling between facilities.

We are seeking anEnvironmental Services Technician, also referred to asa EVSTech or Hospital Housekeeper.The EVS Techensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent infection.The EVS Tech willhandle waste disposal, restock supplies,maintainfloors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent the spread of infections

• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols

• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas

• Clean andmaintainfloors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals

• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices

• Maintaina high levelof cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently

Qualifications

One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
