Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to maintain a safe and healthy hospital environment by cleaning patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas. Responsibilities include waste disposal, restocking supplies, and responding to urgent cleaning needs across facilities.

The role requires 1 year of acute care EVS experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies such as gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces with specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs and communicate promptly via available devices.

We are seeking anEnvironmental Services Technician, also referred to asa EVSTech or Hospital Housekeeper.The EVS Techensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent infection.The EVS Tech willhandle waste disposal, restock supplies,maintainfloors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent the spread of infections
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas
• Clean andmaintainfloors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices
• Maintaina high levelof cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
