Prime Healthcare in Harlingen, TX is seeking a dedicated Environmental Service worker for full-time night shifts at Harlingen Medical Center. The role focuses on cleaning patient rooms, common areas, and operating rooms, with proper disposal of waste and restocking of supplies across hospital areas.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively. Prior acute care EVS experience is preferred, with opportunities for benefits and growth

Qualifications

• One year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.
