Job summary

Pechanga Resort Casino is seeking an EVS Supervisor to lead housekeeping efforts, ensuring a clean, well-stocked casino environment. The role involves supervising EVS staff, training, scheduling, and maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with several years in housekeeping and at least one year of supervisory experience, and must be able to obtain a class A gaming license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus at least three years’ housekeeping experience with one year of supervisory experience, or five years’ experience total.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials; write reports and procedures; present information to groups.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Direct housekeeping duties and ensure completion of tasks efficiently.
• Oversee training of EVS personnel.
• Schedule area duties and days off for staff.
• Oversee trash pickup and cleaning of restrooms, ashtrays, carpets, and floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Protect assets and perform other related duties as assigned.

General Summary

The EVS Supervisor has the responsibility to direct the work, and keep the casino clean and stocked. The essential function of this job is to keep a nice and clean casino at all times.

Four Diamond Service Agreement

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring all housekeeping duties and responsibilities are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Responsible for overseeing training of EVS personnel.
• Schedule area duties and days off of personnel.
• Oversee trash pickup around guests.
• Oversee cleaning ashtrays and spills.
• Oversee cleaning, sweeping, moping and wiping down restrooms.
• Oversee vacuuming and cleaning carpets.
• Oversee cleaning machines, time permitting.
• Oversee emptying all large trashcans and small cans.
• All other related duties as assigned.
• Will protect the assets of PRC.
• Other duties as assigned.

Accountability

This EVS Supervisor has authority to make valuable suggestions or recommendations as to departmental hiring, performance reviews, corrective action, terminations, and Team Member relation issues.

Qualifications and Guidelines

Education/Experience/Training: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least three years’ experience with one-year supervisory experience is required/or five years’ experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.

Communication Skills

This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This position also requires the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public is required as well.

Mathematical Skills

This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. This position also requires the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.

Skills/Abilities

• Computer knowledge necessary.

• Experience in stocking preferred.
• Ability to operate vacuum cleaner and mops.
