Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Resource Coordinator for Operating Rooms. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with shifts 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, including every weekend and holidays, and offers benefits eligibility to new employees after start.

The position oversees EVS standards, staffing, training, and coordination with other departments. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong English communication, reliability, and the ability to work under

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, spell, read, write and understand English.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with patients of all ages.
• Must have exceptional patient relations skills.
• Must be able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and review standards and work procedures for all Environmental Services staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility.
• Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate EVS coverage.
• Assist Manager in supervision of various aspects of the departments and collaborate with managers and coordinators to achieve department goals.
• Participate in interview process, evaluate, and recommend termination of staff per standards.
• Orientate, train, and supervise all Environmental Services staff under span of control.
