OHSU Environmental Services is seeking a Manager to provide operational leadership for a large EVS team at the Portland campus. You will oversee staffing, safety, patient experience, quality and performance improvement, and financial accountability, ensuring alignment with the hospital's strategic plan.

The role requires a track record in healthcare management, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with leadership and union representatives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in management and 3 years in lead/supervisory roles.
• Experience in healthcare management preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ~125 staff and volunteers; supports supervisors with area responsibilities.
• Develops and revises role descriptions to align with industry standards.
• Manages recruitment, onboarding and staff development programs.
• Ensures leadership development programs and performance evaluation processes.
• Promotes a safety-first environment and ensures staff have necessary equipment.
• Partners with infection prevention to audit EVS cleaning effectiveness.
