Qualifications

• Four year college degree and related experience strongly desired; high school diploma/GED required.
• Two years experience in housekeeping services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision is desired.
• Skilled in motivating and supervising staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service and quality attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
• Public speaking skills.
• Excellent stress management and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Proficient in Windows-based office software (MS Office).
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work all shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions of departments.
• Supervises and evaluates quality of work by department employees.
• Maintains sanitary, attractive and orderly environment.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Schedules staffing to ensure adequate services; maintains staffing levels.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, and personnel files.
• Leads management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages cost-effective programs to budget; ensures survey-readiness.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and professional growth of team.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
