Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions of the departments.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work by department employees.
• Maintains a sanitary, attractive and orderly environment.
• Forecasts and plans the purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel.
• Conducts management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains survey-ready department aligned with regulations.
• Maintains relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Promotes professional growth of the department team.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds to ensure controls are effective.
• Reports monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishments.
• Promotes and monitors resident satisfaction.
• Performs duties as needed by housekeeping, laundry or floor care staff.
