Job description

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Environmental Services Manager at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. The EVS Manager will oversee the Environmental Services department staff under the Unit Director and act as liaison between hospital departments to ensure the highest level of service.

As an EVS Manager, you will be responsible for managing associates, scheduling, training, quality assurance, inventory, and maintaining a sanitary and orderly workplace.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff selection process and interview candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays and vacations to meet operational needs.
• Assign personnel to work areas or projects.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and equipment use.
• Ensure staff receive proper orientation, training, and ongoing education.
• Provide guidance and motivation to enable staff to perform at their best.
• Discipline associates according to progressive disciplinary guidelines when necessary.
• Prepare disciplinary and variance reports and conduct follow‑up investigations.
• Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly.
• Demonstrate and promote company culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Lead performance plan execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19; subject to medical or religious exemption.
