Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Environmental Services Team Lead for the full-time night shift (9:30pm–6:30am) with a requirement to work every other weekend. The role extends the EVS Leadership Team, directing workflow to maintain operations and avoid service gaps, while interacting with patients and visitors with appropriate care and safety measures.

The EVS Team Lead will oversee department activities, perform quality assessments, and provide hands-on training to staff to ensure high cleanliness

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in Environmental Services or custodial operations.
• 1 year of restorative floor care or sterile field experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow to maintain operation and avoid gaps in service.
• Interact with patients and visitors appropriately.
• Conduct quality assessments with hands-on training.
• Lead EVS team activities and train staff on standards.

EVS Team Lead

The Environmental Service Team Lead is an extension of the EVS Leadership Team and has the ability to direct the workflow to maintain the operation and avoid gaps in service resulting in recovery. The EVS Team Lead represents the department while interacting with patients and visitors at the facility. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned specialty service areas. The EVS Team Lead will be proficient in all aspects of the department and conducts quality assessments with hands‑on training.

Requirements

• Required Experience: 1-2 years of Environmental Services, 1 year of restorative floor care or 1 year of sterile field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, 1-2 years in supervisory role, and/or 1-2 years of hospitality experience.
