Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Environmental Services Specialist Lead responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping and floor maintenance in assigned areas. The EVS Lead acts as a resource for staff, models professional behavior, and supports management in achieving department goals.

You will participate in training, education, and development of the team, ensuring safe patient care and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
• One year of progressive responsibility in Environmental Services or related field preferred
• Two years of Environmental Services hospital experience preferred
• DOTHAZMAT Certification (DOT) required within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and/or floor maintenance in assigned areas.
• EVS Lead serves as a resource/expert for staff and a role model for the team.
• Participate in training, education and development of team members.
• Support management to achieve optimal department outcomes and safe patient care
