Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Representative for full-time positions on multiple shifts. The position is non-exempt and favors candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly and positively to requests for directions and information from patients, staff and visitors.
• Promotes a positive work environment and contributes to a team-focused unit.
• Performs efficient room cleaning processes to support timely patient admissions.
• Follows department infection control policies and OSHA safety standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety by following procedures for room cleaning and discharge inspections.
• Manages chemical, paper goods, supplies, and equipment in a safe, organized manner.
• Effectively communicates safety issues to management when needed.
• Participates in continuing education and in-service programs to improve performance.
• Assists with time management to minimize unnecessary overtime.
• Wear appropriate work attire: Uniform yes, Scrubs yes, Business professional no, Other department-approved yes.
