Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Lead to oversee daily housekeeping and floor maintenance in assigned areas. The role focuses on staff development, safety, and achieving department outcomes, serving as a resource and role model for the team.

Responsibilities include training, coordinating with management, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and patient safety, while maintaining effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff.

Qualifications

• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language to perform essential functions.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and coworkers with a customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and floor maintenance in assigned areas.
• Train and develop EVS staff and support management to achieve department outcomes.
• Ensure safe and clean environments for patient care and staff.
