Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Lead Environmental Services Worker for Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL, on the 2nd shift. You will provide work leadership to hourly staff and perform hands-on cleaning tasks within our custodial operations.

The role requires 1–2 years of environmental services experience, strong communication, basic math, and a commitment to safety and quality. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Pay is $18.25 per hour, with shift and weekend pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires 1-2 years of experience in environmental services
• Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively
• Ability to apply elementary math functions
• Ability to work well under time constraints
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions and work independently after appropriate training and instruction
• Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients

Responsibilities

• Assists management and supervisors at beginning and end of shift with sign-in, supplies, equipment sign out and sign in
• Assist shift operation in the preparation and delivery of supplies necessary to help ensure all employees' needs are met
• May need to perform overall assessment of public restrooms and on-call rooms
• Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures
• Report all employee issues (safety, injuries, and disciplinary)
• Supervises all staff assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning services
• Responsible for formulating action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies
• Assists in employee training, coaching, and motivation
• Maintains an accurate record keeping system for quality control systems
• Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment
• Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations
• Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contract
• Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes
