Job summary

Servicon in Lancaster, CA is hiring a cleaner/janitor to perform cleaning and sanitizing across assigned areas in healthcare facilities. You will follow established procedures to meet quality and safety standards and may interact with the client.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and remove waste to designated areas.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and damp-mop hard floors, and clean spills in offices and public areas.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Remove finger marks from doors, frames, switches, and glass surfaces.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and orderly.
• Other duties as needed.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ years of custodial experience a plus
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred
• Must be fluent in English language
