Job summary

Servicon in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced janitor to clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned areas in accordance with company and client standards of quality and safety. You may interact with clients as needed to meet staff and client needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of custodial experience is preferred.
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities is preferred.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas per quality and safety standards.
• Empty and dispose of waste and keep janitor's closet clean and organized.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and clean various surfaces in offices, lobbies, corridors, and public areas.
• Dampen-wipe furniture, fixtures, panels, and windowsills; remove fingerprints and smudges from doors and surfaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ years of custodial experience a plus
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred
• Must be fluent in English language
