Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation at a long-term care facility. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate staff, and ensure high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, inventory management, and inspections while upholding safety, PPE use, and infection control policies. Residency in the service area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing daily operations of the environmental services team to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
• Effectively communicate with staff, residents, and facility management regarding operational needs and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform quality inspections of cleaning tasks and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
