Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation at a long-term care facility. You will lead the EVS team, coordinate schedules, train staff, and ensure compliance with safety and infection-control protocols.

You will report to the EVS Manager and collaborate with facility staff and management to maintain high cleanliness levels and resident satisfaction. Residency in the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills for records and reporting.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise environmental services staff to meet sanitation standards.
• Assist EVS Manager in daily operations and staff oversight.
• Maintain records of schedules, assignments, and supplies inventory.
• Conduct staff training on cleaning, safety, and infection prevention.
• Communicate operational needs and feedback to staff and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including PPE.
• Perform quality inspections and provide feedback to team members.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
