Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Juniper Network Engineer to design and optimize EVPN/VXLAN fabrics on Juniper QFX/EX platforms. You will troubleshoot complex BGP EVPN and VXLAN issues at control and data planes and contribute to network automation using PyEZ, Ansible, or Terraform.

This hands-on, senior role requires deep Juniper expertise, JNCIE-level knowledge preferred, and a strong focus on accuracy, determinism, and scalable data-centre designs.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Juniper experience, JNCIE level knowledge strongly preferred, certification optional but the skills are mandatory.
• Proven experience designing and operating EVPN/VXLAN datacentre fabrics in production on Juniper QFX or EX platforms.
• Strong BGP expertise including EVPN, route-targets, policy, and scale in Juniper environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues at packet level using tcpdump, Junos monitoring tools, and traffic analysis.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve EVPN/VXLAN data center fabrics on Juniper QFX and EX platforms across L2/L3, IRB, VRFs, and multi-tenant architectures.
• Perform deep troubleshooting across control plane and data plane for BGP EVPN and VXLAN issues.
• Architect and validate high-scale data center network designs on Juniper hardware with emphasis on accuracy and determinism.
• Work with Junos routing instances, VRFs, IRB interfaces, and policy frameworks at expert level.
• Collaborate with engineering, automation, and operations teams to build reliable network solutions using PyEZ, Ansible, or Terraform, and contribute Linux networking knowledge.
