Job summary

VNS is seeking an experienced network engineer to perform operations and maintenance of data center networks, with a focus on routing and switching. The role requires deep knowledge of EVPN, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, and support for Juniper QFX, MX, EX, and SRX platforms.

Ideal candidates will be self-starters who can design improvements, troubleshoot issues with JTAC, and contribute to automation using Python, Ansible, and XML/NETCONF APIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in network design for medium- to large-scale data centers.
• Juniper or other networking certifications preferred.
• Automation and DevOps knowledge.
• Familiarity with XML API, NETCONF, REST API, and gRPC.
• Python tools and libraries: RPCs, REST, PyEZ, and ncclient.
• Ansible playbooks and Jinja2 templates.
• Automation scripts using Python, SLAX, and Juniper Commit, Op, Event, or SNMP scripts.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations and maintenance of data center networks.

Job description

Perform operations and maintenance of data center networks.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, Pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Routing Policies, GRE, and VXLAN.

Support Juniper QFX, MX, EX, and SRX platforms.

Juniper product experience is preferred but not mandatory.
