Job summary

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School diploma + 1 year of relevant experience, or higher degree.
• Equivalent Qualifications: Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowlege of records management, evidence processing, audit procedures, Clery Act requirements, and general knowledge of law enforcement/departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for criminal evidence and personal property chain of custody, including intake, classification, storage, retrieval, inspections, and release.
• Processing of requests from courts, prosecutors, and defense counsel.
• Issuance, receipt, processing, and audit of police citations.
• Handling requests from the public for copies of police records and related services.
• Categorizes and maintains crime statistics information for the university system.
• Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
