Job summary

The University of California, Riverside is seeking a Property and Evidence Technician to provide operational and administrative support to the Police Department. Responsibilities include receiving, documenting, storing, tracking, releasing, transporting, retaining and disposing of property and evidence in accordance with procedures and legal requirements.

The position offers a full salary range of $25.38–$35.97 per hour, with an expected pay scale up to $30.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining accurate records and handling time-sensitive transactions.
• Two years of related administrative or evidence control experience.
• Experience handling property and evidence in a law enforcement or public safety setting.
• Experience using a law enforcement CAD/RMS or similar records management system.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, store, track, release, transport, retain and dispose of property and evidence.
• Maintain accurate records and chain of custody documentation.
• Provide administrative support for routine departmental operations.
