Job summary

You will ensure accurate intake, tracking, and chain-of-custody with scanners and databases, while maintaining security and compliance.

As an Impound Lot Technician, you will verify vehicle data, conduct VIN checks, process legal paperwork, collect fees, and coordinate with other agencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to file and maintain records per policy.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for lifting and handling contaminants.
• Familiarity with basic police operations and evidence custody.
• Ability to conduct research across multiple databases.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and transport evidence and items for destruction.
• Verify evidence tracking entries during intake.

• Identify storage locations for various item types and ensure security.
• Inspect firearms and verify serial numbers; ensure safe handling.
• Process owner notifications and prepare property for release.
