Job summary

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in Portland, OR seeks an Evidence Technician to manage evidence storage, fleet upkeep, and procurement. Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible customer service and equipment accountability experience.
• Project planning and purchasing experience requiring detail orientation, multitasking and problem-solving.
• Maintain equipment inventories, individual assignments, billing and tracking documents.
• Contract administration for fleet, clothing, facilities, or related services.
• Training or experience in fleet and equipment support service, facilities, or related services.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
• Valid driver’s license by time of appointment.
• Criminal records and employment references checks.

Responsibilities

• Support Transit Police Division with safe storage of evidence/property and inventory control.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs, and procurement to ensure continuity of operations.
• Interpret and apply laws and procedures for evidence room, fleet service and uniform standards.
• Explain department policies to officers, other County departments and suppliers.
• Intake property/evidence from satellite storage and transport to central facility.
• Perform warehousing, ordering, stocking and receiving duties.
