Job summary

Multnomah County’s Transit Police Division is seeking a dedicated, independent professional to manage evidence/property storage, fleet and equipment purchasing, and uniform procurement. This role supports daily operations to ensure a safe, accessible public transportation system and requires strong organization and problem-solving skills.

The position is onsite at the Transit Police Central Precinct in Portland, with occasional travel to other Sheriff’s Office locations and potential ad hoc

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible customer service and equipment accountability experience that involves detail oriented, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain equipment inventories, individual assignments, billing and other related tracking documents.
• Contract administration for specialty areas such as fleet, clothing, facilities, or related services.
• Training or experience in fleet and equipment support service, facilities, or related services.
• Computer proficiency with the knowledge and ability to learn additional computer programs – Microsoft office, Excel, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license by time of appointment.
• Must pass a criminal records and employment references check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transit Police Division with safe and secure storage of evidence and property.
• Manage fleet/equipment purchasing, uniform acquisition and distribution.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Intake property/evidence from satellite storage and transport to central facility.
• Perform general warehousing, paperwork, ordering, stocking, and receiving orders.
