Job summary

The Minnesota Historical Society is seeking a dedicated team member to support the planning, organization, and execution of facility rentals and events at the History Center in St. Paul.

This role focuses on coordinating events, collaborating with staff, and ensuring smooth operations for hosted programs. Ideal candidates bring two years of related experience or equivalent training, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

  • Two years of full-time professional experience or equivalent training in event operations, planning, or business administration.
  • Experience directing staff or volunteers.
  • Ability to work nonstandard hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out History Center facility rentals and events.
  • Coordinate event planning and communications.
  • Collaborate with MNHS staff on events and hosted programs.
  • Oversee parking operations.
